Aircraft Technician

AIM is actively looking for qualified Aircraft Technicians of all levels to be part of our team. Candidates with experience in Aircraft Maintenance are encouraged to apply. Compensation will depend on experience and qualifications with a wide range that incorporates everything from a new Apprentice just getting into the field all the way up to Aircraft Mechanics with CFM-56 module removal and installation experience. Other desired experience includes borescope; compressor top and bottom case repairs; engine change and QED; AD and SB modifications; hot section replacements configure change; fan blade replacements; please return and pre-buy inspections. Mechanics with any or all such experience are highly encouraged to apply.

    The minimum requirements are:
  • Over 18

Borescope Inspector

Job purpose: 

To conduct video borescope inspections of engines and APUs, and create comprehensive technical reports referencing technical data.

Location: Tucson, AZ

Hours: 8am – 5pm, Monday through Friday

Salary: Competitive hourly with overtime, when available (> 40 hours per week)


Responsibilities:

  • Travel to engine location
  • Perform borescope inspection of engines and APU’s IAW technical data
  • Document work on internal reports

 Qualifications & experience:

  • High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED)
  • Two years’ borescope experience
  • A&P License (preferred)

Aircraft Site Supervisor
AIM is actively looking for an Aircraft Site Supervisor to be part of our Coolidge/Pinal operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and oversight of two field operations locations: one at Coolidge Airport and the other at Pinal Airpark. The Site Supervisor will oversee the storage program for aircraft including:
  • Towing and parking aircraft
  • Performing and analyzing Aircraft Max Power Assurance (MPA) data
  • Maintaining, inspecting, repairing and troubleshooting commercial aircraft in compliance with policies, manuals, procedures and requirement
  • Ensuring compliance with all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and AIM maintenance regulations and requirements
  • Reading and interpreting manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components

Supervisory Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure assigned personnel have proper training and records for the assigned work
  • Provide customer support duties when requested Assist management in negotiation of contract and contract changes to achieve quality and cost targets
  • Be responsible for maintenance production by managing daily technical direction as required for technicians on work assignments
  • Track lead times and turn-around times in order to meet or adjust schedules
  • Ensure availability of materials, anticipating requirements and reordering
  • Support and mentor new employees
  • Maintain the maintenance hangar in a clean and orderly manner
  • Ensure technicians and shop personnel are observing the safety precautions relevant to the functions for which they are utilized
  • Ensure articles receive proper handling, preservation, and storage during the maintenance process
  • Ensure non-conforming articles are properly identified and segregated from serviceable articles
  • Ensure that maintenance activity is properly documented on work orders and associated quality documentation and binders
  • Assure the proper handling of all parts while in the repair process and when work is completed Perform other qualified duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A valid driver’s license is required
  • 3-5 years relevant industry experience in aircraft storage

Preferred Qualifications

  • A & P License
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision-making, negotiation, oral, and written communication skills
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to teach/convey best industry practices in a professional work environment
  • Ability to organize and plan work adhering to deadlines; attention to detail and mathematical skills; ability to read, write, and understand the English language and to follow verbal and written instruction; ability to interpret and apply technical data; ability to operate applicable equipment
  • Post-secondary education or training in aircraft maintenance preferred
  • One to three years of experience in related aircraft avionics preferred
  • or A&P License and/or FCC License preferred
Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $82,000.00 – $102,000.00 per year

Chief Inspector

Aircraft Inspection & Management, LLC (AIM) is looking for a talented Chief Inspector to be part of our team. This individual will work with the Quality Manager and be responsible for directing, planning, and detailing inspection standards, methods, and procedures used by the repair station and in our field operations. The perfect candidate will be client and customer service orientated, a team player and an individual who has experience with a 145-repair station, engine and aircraft storage and teardown.

AIM’s Chief Inspector will be responsible for:
  • Assuring proficiency in the Inspection Department by assisting, supervising, and directing all Inspectors in AIM’s inspection procedures
  • Ensuring all on-site inspections are properly performed and that the proper inspection record, reports, and forms used by the repair station are properly executed
  • Overseeing the proper handling of all parts and components through the inspection process per our manual and company policies
  • Providing for continuity of inspection responsibility, and assuring completion of required inspections with personnel shift or assignment changes
  • Ensuring Repair Station compliance per CASE-1A Standard and applicable FARs
  • Issuing stamps, badges, and authorizations to Inspectors
  • The maintenance performed for Air Carriers
  • Maintaining AIM’s Record-Keeping system
  • Managing the calibration of all repair station precision test equipment
  • Maintaining the AIM Roster of management, inspection, and supervisory personnel
  • Other duties pertinent to the position as assigned, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years relevant industry experience
  • A&P License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to teach/convey best industry practices in a professional work environment

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • May be required to travel occasionally
