Chief Inspector

Aircraft Inspection & Management, LLC (AIM) is looking for a talented Chief Inspector to be part of our team. This individual will work with the Quality Manager and be responsible for directing, planning, and detailing inspection standards, methods, and procedures used by the repair station and in our field operations. The perfect candidate will be client and customer service orientated, a team player and an individual who has experience with a 145-repair station, engine and aircraft storage and teardown.

AIM’s Chief Inspector will be responsible for:
  • Assuring proficiency in the Inspection Department by assisting, supervising, and directing all Inspectors in AIM’s inspection procedures
  • Ensuring all on-site inspections are properly performed and that the proper inspection record, reports, and forms used by the repair station are properly executed
  • Overseeing the proper handling of all parts and components through the inspection process per our manual and company policies
  • Providing for continuity of inspection responsibility, and assuring completion of required inspections with personnel shift or assignment changes
  • Ensuring Repair Station compliance per CASE-1A Standard and applicable FARs
  • Issuing stamps, badges, and authorizations to Inspectors
  • The maintenance performed for Air Carriers
  • Maintaining AIM’s Record-Keeping system
  • Managing the calibration of all repair station precision test equipment
  • Maintaining the AIM Roster of management, inspection, and supervisory personnel
  • Other duties pertinent to the position as assigned, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years relevant industry experience
  • A&P License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to teach/convey best industry practices in a professional work environment

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • May be required to travel occasionally

Aircraft Technician

AIM is actively looking for qualified Aircraft Technicians of all levels to be part of our team. Candidates with experience in Aircraft Maintenance are encouraged to apply. Compensation will depend on experience and qualifications with a wide range that incorporates everything from a new Apprentice just getting into the field all the way up to Aircraft Mechanics with CFM-56 module removal and installation experience. Other desired experience includes borescope; compressor top and bottom case repairs; engine change and QED; AD and SB modifications; hot section replacements configure change; fan blade replacements; please return and pre-buy inspections. Mechanics with any or all such experience are highly encouraged to apply.

Borescope Inspector

Job purpose: 

To conduct video borescope inspections of engines and APUs, and create comprehensive technical reports referencing technical data.

Location: Tucson, AZ

Hours: 8am – 5pm, Monday through Friday

Salary: Competitive hourly with overtime, when available (> 40 hours per week)


Responsibilities:

  • Travel to engine location
  • Perform borescope inspection of engines and APU’s IAW technical data
  • Document work on internal reports

 Qualifications & experience:

  • High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED)
  • Two years’ borescope experience
  • A&P License (preferred)

CFM 56 Engine Engineer

Aircraft Inspection & Maintenance, LLC (AIM) is hiring a talented CFM 56 Engine Expert to be part of our operations team. This individual will be a hands-on engineer with relevant work experience in aircraft modular engine repair. This should include the inspection, diagnosis, drawing up of engineering work plans, and disassembly, repair and reassembly and testing of engines.

The perfect candidate will be an individual who has both the solid theoretical knowledge of CFM 56 Engine repair and experience of working within an aircraft MRO shop or similar organization. They must be willing to relocate to Tucson, AZ.


As our resident engineer your typical responsibilities would include:
  • Managing the inspection & diagnosis of malfunctioning engines
  • Utilizing prior knowledge to establish modular repair work scopes per OEM technical data
  • Creating a corresponding timeline for repairs
  • Working with AIM management to formulate a budget for the inspections/repairs
  • Manage the disassembly & repair of engines
  • Identifying, sourcing, and managing tools for engine inspections & repairs
  • Managing the reassembly and testing of engines
  • Managing paperwork throughout the repair process

Relevant Skills
  • Mechanical with a hands-on approach to inspections and diagnostics
  • Problem solving mentality with a propensity for troubleshooting i.e. solution orientated
  • Keen attention to detail and excellent ability to keep records in a highly regulated industry with stringent company standards and technical specifications
  • Ability to work within a team setting with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead by example and mentor technicians to improve shop processes and overall company functionality

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years’ relevant industry experience as CFM 56 modular maintenance expert in a management capacity
  • Engineering degree from an accredited 4-year institution preferred but not required
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs, sit for extended periods of time and stand for extended period of time

Preferred Qualifications

  • A & P License
  • Experience working in an MRO organization
  • Excellent communicator with ability to teach/convey best industry practices in a professional work environment
