Aviation Technical Documents Writer/Records Analyst/Auditor

Location: Tucson, AZ

Hours: 8 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday

Salary: Competitive hourly with overtime, when available (> 40 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and analyze Customer requirements against approved technical data to create technical work scopes and task cards
  • Analyze and review Customer-provided records
  • Create, review and analyze mini-packs for all maintenance accomplished

Parts/Logistics Administrator

Location: Tucson, AZ

Hours: 8am – 5pm Monday through Friday

Job overview:

The Parts person maintains inventory records, receives materials and parts into our facility, and dispenses them to other departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Track inventory, tools, equipment and materials on a daily basis.
  • Receive ordered materials against POs and material requisition forms.
  • Verify stock and inventory discrepancies and adjust accordingly; also investigate errors that are not easily recognized
  • Trace history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommend remedial action to resolve discrepancies.
  • Compile information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, and compute inventory balance, price and cost
  • Prepare reports such as inventory balances, price lists, account statements, invoices and shortages
  • Prepare list of depleted items and recommend surveys of defective or unusable items.
  • Compute and record charges, refunds, cost of lost or damaged goods, freight charges, rentals and similar items
  • Answer telephone, convey messages and run errands
  • Stock and issue materials or merchandise
  • Be responsible for purchasing activities and related documents
  • Maintain proper inventory levels to support maintenance operations and outside customer support
  • Assist Maintenance Department with special projects and quotes.
  • Deal with vendors and manufacturers to obtain the best possible discounts on parts and services
  • Work with maintenance Customers and external Customers on any problems that may arise concerning parts and service
  • Plan layout of inventory room, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored
  • Be responsible for general appearance of parts/inventory room and parts sales office.
  • Comply with attendance/tardiness standards

Qualifications & skills:

  • High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED)/one to three months’ related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to calculate figures and amounts (e.g. discounts, interest, commission, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume)
  • Must demonstrate ability to multi-task and prioritize urgent tasks
  • High level of detail orientation required
  • Must have a positive ‘can do’ and ‘will do’ attitude
  • Must demonstrate a willingness to learn
  • Must be able to work in warehouse/office environment.

Borescope Inspector

Job purpose:  To conduct video borescope inspections of engines and APUs, and create comprehensive technical reports referencing technical data.

Aerospace engineer

Location: Tucson, AZ

Hours: 8am – 5pm, Monday through Friday

Salary: Competitive hourly with overtime, when available (> 40 hours per week)

 Responsibilities:

  1. Utilizing theoretical knowledge of engineering to follow-up on engine work final results
  2. Managing shop visits, engine sales and returns to customers.
  3. Developing and controlling labor and cost budgets; sourcing and managing tooling as they relate to the engineering.
  4. Overseeing other AIM technicians who work on modular engine shop work. This includes  the inspection, diagnosis, drawing up of engineering work plans, and disassembly, repair, reassembly and testing of the engines.
  5. Using theoretical knowledge in engineering to perform diagnostic inspections to include borescope inspections
  6. Retaining records of maintenance and repair work, interpreting flight test data in order to diagnose malfunctions.
  7. Examining and inspecting aircraft components (to include hydraulic systems to locate cracks, breaks, leaks or other problems).
  8. Supervising the replacement of worn, defective or damaged components, using hand tools, gauges and testing equipment.

Qualifications & experience:

  • Engineering Degree
  • 2+ years’ experience as an aerospace engineer
  • A&P License (preferred)
