Open positions
Borescope Inspector

Job purpose: 

To conduct video borescope inspections of engines and APUs, and create comprehensive technical reports referencing technical data.

Location: Tucson, AZ

Hours: 8am – 5pm, Monday through Friday

Salary: Competitive hourly with overtime, when available (> 40 hours per week)


Responsibilities:

  • Travel to engine location
  • Perform borescope inspection of engines and APU’s IAW technical data
  • Document work on internal reports

 Qualifications & experience:

  • High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED)
  • Two years’ borescope experience
  • A&P License (preferred)

Engine Technician

Job purpose:

The Aircraft Engine Technician will be part of AIM’s Operations Team. Successful candidates will perform the following, including but not limited to:

  • Removal/Repair/Installation of engine modules
  • Top and Bottom Case Repairs
  • Removal and Installation of Engines
  • Removal and Installation of QEC
  • AD & SB Modifications
  • Borescope Inspections
  • Boroblend Repairs
  • Engine Runs
  • NDT
  • Engine Preservation
  • Parking, Preservation and Storage of Aircraft
  • General Shop Work and other tasks as required

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of FAA requirements of return to service engine and aircraft protocol
  • Able to read, understand and follow ESM and AMM manual instructions
  • Disassemble, test, repair and reassemble engine, engine modules and components
  • Remove/install various aircraft engines across multiple platforms
  • Perform regular inspections and diagnose malfunctions
  • Willingness to work as team member as well as independently with limited to no supervision
  • Ability to learn and teach others on work scopes
  • Readiness to take ownership of work scopes
  • Leadership qualities that empower the organization as whole and excellent work ethic
  • Proficient in MS Office suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five plus years’ experience as a CFM 56 Engine Modular Technician/Mechanic
  • Airframe & Powerplant/Powerplant License
  • Experience working in an MRO organization
  • Excellent communicator with ability to teach/convey best industry practices in a professional work environment
  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • CDL

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Engine shop and field work in all weather conditions
  • Successful candidates must be willing to travel as needed both domestically and internationally
